The EK61 Opal Pendant, designed in 1961 but never previously produced, is now being launched in glass and wood.
This elegant and understated pendant, created by Esben Klint — son of the renowned Danish designer Kaare Klint — was originally intended to be made in pleated plastic.
However, the complexity of the design made production unfeasible at the time, and the lamp remained in the family archives — until now.
The modern version features a pleated, elliptical form made from mouth-blown opal glass.
Its distinctive oak details, reminiscent of traditional Chinese lanterns, are carefully turned and hand-finished to create a timeless expression.
EK61 is available in three sizes and emits a soft, indirect light thanks to the considered combination of classic materials.
