At Okholm Lighting, we believe light should not simply be replaced – it should be preserved, refined, and carried forward with respect for architecture, materials, and heritage. That’s why we specialize in the restoration and renovation of historical lighting fixtures – both interior and exterior.
With over 1,700 churches and a significant number of listed and heritage buildings in our portfolio, we’ve built expertise that extends beyond the conventional. Our approach is thorough, respectful, and future-oriented: we recreate the original character while improving energy performance and preparing the lighting for today’s and tomorrow’s requirements.
Restoration is a sustainable decision. It’s not just about reuse – it’s about understanding context: the character of the building, the proportions of the space, and the role of light in the architectural narrative. We believe that modernization and historical respect are not opposites – they are interdependent.
All work is carried out at our own facility in Tønder by our in-house, specially trained craftsmen. We use no acids or abrasive blasting. All fixtures are CE-certified in accordance with applicable legislation. We handle both pickup and delivery and can assist with dismounting and installation if required.
At Okholm Lighting, restoration is more than a service – it is a craft. We unite material expertise, lighting technology and architectural sensibility in every project. The result is lighting that feels both authentic and contemporary.
