Church of Skæring

Church of Skæring

The church of Skæring was built in 1994. Exner Architects were in charge of the building process. The lighting in the church, also designed by Exner Architects, consists of two big steel rings, which carry 216 incandescent lamps on radial arms. Exner Architects have attached great importance to the interaction between the lighting and the church as a unified whole. The lighting itself builds a second ceiling, a floating heaven, over the church benches.
